Northern Arapaho Tribe to open casino by Christmas

printer friendly
The Northern Arapaho Tribe of Wyoming expects to open its new $10.3 million casino by Christmas.

The Wind River Casino will be limited to Class II games, said chairman Rick Brannan. The tribe has estimated it could see $8 million to $12 million in profits a year from Class II games.

The tribe is also pursuing Class III games but the state is objecting. The 10th Circuit Court of Appeals reheard the dispute earlier this month. A three-judge panel had sided with the tribe back in November 2004.
