Christopher M. Pearson, a member of the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation of Connecticut, was indicted in federal court on wire fraud charges.

Federal prosecutors said Pearson bilked investors -- including his father -- out of at least $565,000. He told them the money was going to be used to build a casino in Honduras.

Pearson said the tribe was going to lend the Foxwoods name to the resort. The tribe is bringing its own fraud charges against Pearson.
