Quapaw Tribe starts off-track wagering at new casino

printer friendly
The Quapaw Tribe of Oklahoma now offers off-track wagering at its new casino.

The tribe partnered with Remington Park in Oklahoma City to broadcast races at the Downstream Casino Resort. The $301 million facility, which is located in parts of Oklahoma, Kansas and Missouri, opened about a month ago.

In order to offer off-trace betting, the tribe signed a Class III gaming compact with the state of Oklahoma. The Bureau of Indian Affairs neither approved nor rejected the compact so it became effective yesterday, according to a notice published in the Federal Register.
