Court sets hearing on Pascua Yaqui poker lawsuit

printer friendly
A judge in Arizona will hold a hearing on September 29 over a poker room that the Pascua Yaqui Tribe says is illegal.

The tribe says Club Royale is violating state laws and interfering with the tribe's casino operation. Since the poker room opened a month ago, business is down at the tribe's two casinos, according to the lawsuit.

The state has investigated other poker rooms operated by the owner of Club Royale but has not taken any action.
