Tigua Tribe to hold press conference on casino

The Tigua Tribe of Texas plans to hold a press conference on Friday to discuss its plans for the Speaking Rock Casino in El Paso.

The tribe is reviewing a federal judge's decision that said electronic games at the casino are illegal. "They are discussing the order with their legal counsel and the tribal membership," a press release sent to KDBC4 stated. In the meantime, the gamers are still being offered, The El Paso Times reported.

Judge Harry Hudspeth ruled that the electronic games, which made payouts in Visa gift cards, violate a 2001 court order that limits the tribe to $5 amusement-style games.
