Oneida Nation to sell liquor at casino eateries

printer friendly

The Oneida Nation of New York announced a deal that will allow the tribe to serve liquor at the Turning Stone Resort and Casino.

The tribe entered into a contract with The Beeches to serve liquor at the facility's five restaurants. Patrons will have to become "members" of the eateries in order to be served but the process will be simple.

The New York Liquor Authority has refused to grant liquor license to the tribe. Opponents have cited taxation and jurisdiction concerns.
