printer friendly
National Indian Gaming Commission Chairman Phil Hogen is the inaugural Distinguished Public Administrator in Residence at the University of North Dakota, noted for its controversial "Fighting Sioux" nickname and logo.

Hogen, a member of the Oglala Sioux Tribe of South Dakota, is meeting with the Native American Law Students Association this morning. He will then deliver the "Achievements and Challenges in Indian Gaming from the Perspective of the National Indian Gaming Commission" keynote and participate in a panel on First Nations economic development and gaming.

President Barack Obama has yet to name a replacement for Hogen at the NIGC.
