printer friendly
The Snoqualmie Tribe of Washington opened a $375 million casino less than a year ago and it doesn't seem to be performing as well as expected.

The tribe expected $1 million a month from the Snoqualmie Casino. The money was supposed to fund government programs.

But revenues are only about $250,000 a month, The Seattle Times reported. A consultant warned the tribe it might have to cut programs and employees.

The casino opened amid a membership dispute involving the former chairman and eight others. The tribe voted to reinstate the nine people after a lengthy meeting on Saturday.
