printer friendly
A decision by the Yocha Dehe Wintun Nation to cancel a major casino project is being welcomed in Yolo County, California.

Officials, business leaders and residents say the tribe made the right call not to expand the Cache Creek Casino Resort. The facility would have tripled in size but the project was killed due to financial concerns.

"The tribe does positive things for the community but people don't want their lives disrupted," Esparto Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Elizabeth Cambell told The Woodland Daily Democrat.
