Court dismisses case over Shoshone-Bannock gaming

printer friendly
The Idaho Supreme Court dismissed a lawsuit that sought the removal of video gaming machines from the casino owned by the Shoshone-Bannock Tribes.

Wendy Knox and Richard Dotson, who say they are compulsive gamblers, said the machines violate the Idaho Constitution. But the court said the couple lacked standing to bring the case.

The court also said prior litigation in the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals binds the state to accept Class III gaming at the Fort Hall Casino.
