printer friendly

The Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community of Minnesota filed suit in federal court to stop a gaming facility in Nevada from using "Mystic" in its name.

The tribe opened the Mystic Lake Casino Hotel in 1992 and registered several "Mystic" trademarks under federal law. The tribe says the Mystic Lodge Casino in Henderson, Nevada, infringes on the trademarks.

The Nevada casino is operated by Templeton Gaming.
