Thursday, January 14, 2010

The Seminole Tribe of Florida asked the National Indian Gaming Commission to look at virtual blackjack games being offered at non-Indian racetracks.

The tribe offers live blackjack at its casinos. Lawmakers say the games are illegal but the tribe is pointing to the virtual version in hopes of keeping them even without a Class III compact.

NIGC representatives visited the Mardi Gras Gaming facility to inspect the machines.
