In a settlement with the National Indian Gaming Commission, the Scotts Valley Band of Pomo Indians agreed to look for new investors for an off-reservation casino in California.

The tribe entered into a management contract with a Florida-based company called Richmond Gaming. But former NIGC Chairman Phil Hogen rejected the deal and said the company lied about some of its investors and failed to provide background information on them, The Contra Costa Times reported.

The tribe wants to open a casino in Richmond, in the Bay Area.
