Seneca-Cayuga Tribe eyes new mode of development
Friday, October 1, 2004

The Seneca-Cayuga Tribe of Oklahoma says it will restart a ferry operation in Rochester on one condition: a casino.

Tribal leaders are interested in the Fast Ferry. The vessel has been docked at the Port of Rochester after its operator suspended service.

CATS, the ferry operator, needs between $2-10 million to restart service. The tribe has the money but wants support for a casino in the city.
