Extradition hearing set in Aquash murder case

A lengthy extradition hearing has been scheduled in British Columbia, Canada, for a man accused of murdering American Indian Movement activist Anna Mae Pictou Aquash.

John Graham, a Native man from Canada, is fighting the charges filed against him in the U.S. He says he won't receive a fair trial and that the conviction of his alleged accomplice, Arlo Looking Cloud, was a sham.

Graham's lawyer says he wants to know more about the case. U.S. authorities say Graham and Looking Cloud took Aquash to the Pine Ridge Reservation in December 1975 to kill her.
