"The sad truth is that if meaningful change doesn't start sometime soon, even prayer might not save the residents of Red Lake Nation.
That would be tragic indeed.
You see, in so many ways, the people of Red Lake are just like you and me.
They love their families.
They want a good education and safe schools for their children.
They want good jobs and decent wages.
They go to church and value their spirituality.
They worry about crime and their families' safety.
They want access to quality health care.
They despise substance and alcohol abuse.
And they want respect from other people."
