RV park opening in Gila River Indian Community
Wednesday, September 28, 2005

The Gila River Indian Community has signed a deal to host a recreational vehicle dealership on the reservation.

The deal, three years in the making, will allow Beaudry RV to expand its market. The dealership will be located near the tribe's three casinos and will pay no property tax.

The tribe will receive tax revenues from the dealership, which will generate 250 jobs. The jobs are expected to bring in $11 million in wages.

Lone Butte, the tribe's development corporation, will lease the land to Beaudry.
