Washoe Tribe joins fight against meth

The Washoe Tribe has formed a partnership with law enforcement agencies in Nevada to fight methamphetamine and other illegal drugs.

The agreement will allow local law enforcement to assist in violent or emergency situations on tribal lands. Previously, police officers from Douglas County and Carson City had to stop at the reservation borders.

The Washoe Tribe is based on Nevada and California. The tribe has four colonies, including two in Carson City.
