Not guilty pleas in Abramoff-related murder
Tuesday, November 8, 2005

Three men submitted written pleas of not guilty for the gangland-style murder of Konstantinos "Gus" Boulis, a Florida businessman who was killed after selling his casino business to disgraced lobbyist Jack Abramoff.

Boulis was killed on the streets of Fort Lauderdale on February 6, 2001. The incident occurred four months after he sold the SunCruz casino fleet to Abramoff and Adam Kidan, Abramoff's partner. The three suspects were hired by Kidan as part of the business.

Separately, Abramoff and Kidan have been indicted on bank fraud charges. They allegedly faked a $23 million wire transfer as part of the $147 million purchase of SunCruz.
