Networks given 'F' for lack of Indian roles
Friday, December 2, 2005

The Multi-Ethnic Media Coalition released its fifth annual report card on the racial and ethnic diversity of roles on the four major television networks.

Mark Reed of American Indians in Film and Television gave the networks an "F" because there are no roles for American Indians. "The American Indian is invisible in prime-time television," he said, according to the Associated Press.

The National Latino Media Council and the Asian Pacific American Media Coalition gave mediocre grades to Fox, ABC, NBC and CBS. They said diversity is improving but at a slow rate.
