Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation expands golf course
Thursday, March 30, 2006

The Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation in Arizona is expanding its We-Ko-Pa Golf Club.

The tribe opened the club in 2001 with 18 holes. The expansion will create another 18 holes in order to meet growing demand among tourists.

The new course is being designed by architects Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw, who have worked on other tribal projects and whose work has won awards in Golfweek magazine.
