NCAI raising money for embassy in Washington

The National Congress of American Indians is eyeing a spot on Washington, D.C's "Embassy Row" for the Embassy of Tribal Nations.
NCAI is raising money for a down payment on the $12 million building. The Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community in Minnesota donated $1 million for the effort, one of the largest single donations.
The organization currently leases its offices.
