Comanche man starts 'conservative' group
Monday, May 15, 2006

David Yeagley, a member of the Comanche Nation of Oklahoma, has started a "conservative" Indian group.

Yeagley uses the term "conservative" in the literal, rather than political, sense. He says his Bad Eagle Foundation seeks to conserve Indian and American values.

Yeagley is associated with some politically conservative figures. He writes columns for a conservative magazine and frequently criticizes liberals on his web site.

Kalyn Free, a member of the Choctaw Nation, doesn't mind being a liberal. She started INDN's List in order to recruit more Native American political candidates.
