Misprint delays election for troubled IHS board

A ballot misprint has delayed the election of the troubled Trenton Indian Service Area Board in North Dakota.
The board held a special election to choose a new chairman on Tuesday. But the ballots are being held up until issues surrounding the misprint are resolved.
The past chairman of the board was ousted for alleged financial misconduct. Cynthia LaCounte had been elected after challenging the results of a previous election.
The Trenton area of the Indian Health Service covers six counties in North Dakota and in Montana.
