Senate passes $463B appropriations measure
Thursday, February 15, 2007

The Senate voted 81-15 on Wednesday to pass a $463.5 billion measure to keep the federal government operating.

The bill, like the one approved by the House earlier this month, largely provides level funding for most agencies. Democrats shifted some of the money around, securing funds for post-secondary education at the Bureau of Indian Affairs, for clinical care at the Indian Health Service and for land and water claim settlements.

President Bush has said he will sign the bill.
