Brazil to provide free Internet to remote tribes

The government of Brazil signed an agreement on Thursday to provide free Internet access to remote tribes in the Amazon.

The Forest People's Network will serve 150 communities. The system will enable tribes to communicate with the government and to report llegal logging and ranching.

The project involves areas in 13 Amazonian states.
