Low water levels in Lake Superior are threatening one of the largest wild rice beds in the world.
Members of the Bad River Band of Lake Superior Chippewa have harvested wild rice at the lake for centuries. Now they might be forced to look elsewhere for a staple of their diet.
''Some of them, they won't even come out here because they don't want to see it. It's just too painful," Matt O'Claire, a game warden for the tribe, told the Associated Press.
