House subcommittee hearing on Trinity River bill

The House Natural Resource Committee's Subcommittee On Water And Power is holding a hearing this morning on H.R.2733, the Trinity River Restoration Fund Act.

The bill would create a fund to restore the Trinity River in northern California. Tribes in the area depend on fish and water from the river.

Clifford Lyle Marshall, the chairman of the Hoopa Valley Tribe, and Troy Fletcher, a policy analyst for the Yurok Tribe, are on the witness list. They will be joined by federal and local officials.

The hearing starts at 10am. It will be broadcast at http://resourcescommittee.house.gov.
