The House Natural Resources Committee has two events of interest this week.
On Wednesday, the committee has a markup on seven bills. The agenda includes
H.R.
2176 and
H.R.
4115, two controversial bills that settle tribal land claims in Michigan and allow gaming at off-reservation sites.
On Thursday, the committee will hear from Secretary Dirk Kempthorne about the Interior Department's fiscal year 2009 budget.
