North Dakota sorority held 'Indian' costume party

A sorority at the
University of North Dakota is coming under fire for holding a costume party in which attendees dressed up as Indian men and women.
Photos from the
Gamma Phi Beta party, held last November, showed up online. They depicted female students dressed as "maidens" and males wearing nothing but loincloths and red makeup.
Indian students at UND found out about the party and have lodged a discrimination complaint. Margaret Scott, a junior, created a
slideshow of images but it has since been taken down by photobucket.com.
Jillian Krivarchka, the past president of the sorority, said the party was held off campus. She said the theme was "Cowboys" but that people dressed how they wanted to dress.
