Tuesday, May 6, 2008

A federal judge on Friday dismissed a lawsuit that accused the Nebraska Health and Human Services System and the owners of mobile home park of discriminating against Native tenants.

Judge Laurie Smith Camp said High Plains Community Development failed to make its case under state and federal law. High Plains sued on behalf of Native tenants a mobile home park in Chadron.

The tenants said they were allowed to live in overcrowded and substandard housing in violation of state and federal law.
