IHS links salmonella outbreak to uncooked tomatoes

Indian Health Service says a salmonella outbreak that has affected people in nine states is linked to uncooked, raw, large tomatoes.
Roma and red round tomatoes were the common factor in 40 cases examined. The
Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said no deaths have been reported.
The first cases occurred in New Mexico and Texas. Most people said they ate raw tomatoes from stores or restaurants.
