IHS confirms 14 cases of salmonella poisoning

The
Indian Health Service has confirmed 14 cases of salmonella on the
Navajo Nation , The Gallup Independent reports.
The Navajo area office said the people who became sick bought tomatoes at one of two stores in New Mexico. One is a
Wal-Mart in Farmington and the other is a
Bashas' in Crownpoint.
The IHS has two epidemiologists working on the outbreak. The first cases showed up in early May.
Since then, people in more than a dozen states have been affected.
