Tanka Bar 'swamped' after TV appearance
Thursday, June 12, 2008

Native American Natural Foods, a company based on the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota, is "swamped" after Tanka Bar was featured on "Live With Regis & Kelly" yesterday.

Hosts Regis Philbin and Kelly Ripa sampled the bar, a buffalo=cranberry mix based on the traditional Lakota recipe for wasna. "It was amazing," marketing director Linda Crider told The Rapid City Journal of the segment.

The bar was an instant hit when it was last October. It is now distributed and sold at more than 1,100 locations.
