House Resources markup on Trail of Tears bill

The
House Natural Resources Committee is holding a markup session today.
One Indian-related bill is on the agenda. It's
H.R.5335, a bill to add new segments to the
Trail of Tears National Historic Trail.
New segments include routes that Cherokee ancestors used in Alabama, Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Tennessee as they were forced to leave their homelands in the southeast.
The markup starts at 12:30pm and will be broadcast on the committee's web site.
