Congress clears $2B boost for Indian Country

A bill that provides $2 billion for law enforcement, health care and water projects in Indian Country has been sent to President Bush for his signature.
The $2 billion is part of the
S.2731, a global HIV/AIDS bill. Supporters were able to divert a small portion of the $50 billion package to Indian Country.
Bush is expected to sign the bill. The money will be available starting in October.
