Sen. Obama opens campaign office on Navajo Nation

Sen. Barack Obama (D-Illinois), the presumptive Democratic nominee for president, is opening an office on the
Navajo Nation.
The office will be located in Shiprock, New Mexico. It's the first reservation office for any presidential candidate since the primaries ended.
Sen. John McCain
(R-Arizona), the former chairman of the
Senate Indian
Affairs Committee, does not plan to open an office on any reservation in New Mexico, a spokesperson for the
Republican Party of New Mexico said.
