Good behavior earns ex-lawmaker early release

A Republican Congressman who was indicted in connection with the Jack Abramoff scandal is being released from federal custody after serving about half of his prison sentence.

Good behavior and participation in a drug and alcohol program earned early release for former Rep. Bob Ney (R-Ohio). He served a total of 17 1/2 months in prison and a halfway house out of a 30-month sentence.

Tigua Tribe that Abramoff was a good lobbyist as the tribe was bilked out of $4.1 million.
