White Earth chair works on Indian policy at DNC

Erma Vizenor, the chairwoman of the White Earth Band of Ojibwe, is one of Minnesota's delegates to the Democratic National Convention.

Vizenor has been working with the Native caucus to develop an Indian policy. She said the federal government needs to improve health care and education on reservations.

More than 140 American Indians and Alaska Natives are delegates at the convention, the highest ever.
