Winnebago Yankee apologizes for drunken driving
Monday, October 20, 2008

Joba Chamberlain, a member of the Winnebago Tribe of Nebraska who plays for the New York Yankees, was arrested on Saturday on a drunken-driving charge.

Chamberlain was at home in Nebraska when he was pulled over. He reportedly failed a blood alcohol test and spent the night in a detox center in Lincoln, where he grew up.

The 23-year-old star pitcher apologized for what he called an "error in judgment." He is set to appear in court on December 17.
