Indian president of Bolivia to seek one more term
Tuesday, October 21, 2008

Evo Morales, the first Indian president of Bolivia, said he will seek one more term but no more after that.

Morales was elected in December 2005 to a five-year term. He remains popular among the country's Indian majority but has stirred controversy for some of his pro-Indian proposals and an effort to rewrite the county's constitution.

The next election will be held December 2009.
