Coquille man wants vote on same-sex marriage

The
Coquille Tribe of Oregon is facing a challenge to its same-sex marriage law.
The tribal council held several meetings on the issue before voting 4-2 to recognize same-sex marriages.
The law is believed to be the first of its kind in Indian Country.
But tribal member Brady Metcalf says the law should be put on a special ballot. He wants the entire tribal membership to vote on the issue.
Metcalf says he isn't opposed to same-sex marriages. Only one couple so far has announced plans to wed under the new law.
