Crow man fined by Virginia business agency
Tuesday, November 25, 2008

Ted Hogan, a member of the Crow Tribe of Montana whose business activities have been under scrutiny, was fined in Virginia for defrauding investors.

Hogen was ordered to pay $95,000 in civil penalties plus $13,117 for the cost of an investigation by the Virginia State Corporation Commission. If he repays the investors, the fine will be waived.

Hogen promised investors millions of dollars in a mineral development project on the Crow Reservation. The commission said he received $6.2 million from investors.
