Charges upgraded in beating of Blackfeet man

Three white males who are accused of beating a member of the
Blackfeet Nation of Montana will face felony charges for the September 20 incident.
Todd, Brian and Aaron Molenda were initially charged with misdemeanors for the attack on Ron Rides at the Door. They now face charges of felony assault with a weapon.
The incident has drawn controversy because the Molendas reportedly yelled racial slurs at Rides at the Door, who serves as commissioner for
Glacier County, and his wife. The Blackfeet Nation has called for the ouster of the county attorney for failing to file hate crime charges and for failing, until last week, to seek felony charges.
