USET to host forum on Carcieri decision

The United South and Eastern Tribes is inviting tribes to attend a strategy session on the U.S. Supreme Court decision in Carcieri v. Salazar.

The session will take place on Tuesday, May 12, at the Paragon Casino Resort on the Tunica-Biloxi Reservation. USET hosts its semi-annual meeting that same week.

The Carcieri decision restricts the land-into-trust process to tribes that were "under federal jurisdiction" in 1934.
