Group accuses PBS of failing on Wounded Knee story

A group called The Wounded Knee Victims and Veterans Association says PBS is failing to tell the full story of the Wounded Knee occupation of 1973.
The group says the PBS
"We Shall
Remain" miniseries glorifies the actions of the American Indian Movement. The group wants PBS to tell the story from the perspective of people who lived in the Wounded Knee village.
""Please know that we take allegations of the nature described in your letters very seriously," PBS president and CEO Paula Kerger said in a letter to the group that was provided to The Rapid City Journal.
The segment about Wounded Knee, the last in the series, aired this week.
