Mohawks protest arming of guards at border

Mohawks from the U.S. and Canada say they won't back down from protests against the arming of guards at the U.S.-Canada border.
But authorities in Canada said they won't reopen the a border crossing station until Mohawks accept the armed guards. Talks between tribal officials and the
Canadian Border Services Agency apparently broke down over the weekend.
"We're no more of a threat today than we were yesterday," Anenhaienton, a tribal member, told CBC News "So, why all of a sudden do they need guns?"
U.S. authorities agreed to shut down the crossing at the request of Canada, according to The Windsor Star.
