Wednesday, June 3, 2009 Filed Under: Politics The House Natural Resources Committee held a hearing this morning on three bills. The bills are: * H.R. 1061: To transfer certain land to the United States to be held in trust for the Hoh Indian Tribe, to place land into trust for the Hoh Indian Tribe, and for other purposes. "Hoh Indian Tribe Safe Homelands Act"Although two of the bills affect the Interior Department, assistant secretary Larry EchoHawk, the new leader of the Bureau of Indian Affairs did not testify.
