BIA to hold swearing-in ceremony for EchoHawk

The Bureau of Indian Affairs is holding a swearing-in ceremony for Larry EchoHawk this Friday.

Tribal leaders, Indian organizations and media are being invited to the event in Washington, D.C.. The BIA expects to issue a press release later today.

EchoHawk, a member of the Pawnee Nation of Oklahoma, was confirmed by the Senate on May 19. He is the 11th assistant secretary of Indian affairs at the Interior Department.
