A draft management plan for the
Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park in Australia proposes a ban on climbing Uluru, a sacred Aboriginal site.
The government already warns people not to climb Australia's famed Ayers Rock. But the plan says access should be banned outright for cultural, environmental and safety reasons.
The Nguraritja retains Aboriginal title to the park and manages it jointly with the government.
